Sabina Beesley (née Bhate) articled with Thomas and Associates in 2013 and has been an associate of the firm since her call to the British Columbia Bar in 2014.
Sabina practices in the areas of family law and wills and estates. She often appears in the Supreme Court and Provincial Court of British Columbia and has experience handling various family law issues, such as divorce, child support, spousal support, parenting time, parenting responsibilities, private adoptions, child abduction, relocation, guardianship and division of property. Sabina also has experience with trust claims, including constructive trusts and claims for unjust enrichment.
With respect to her Wills and Estates practice, Sabina has experience with Wills Variation Claims, drafting Wills, amending Wills, and preparing applications for estate grants. Often times, one of the first things a separated person will want to do is make a new will and Sabina is pleased to offer this service to the clients of Thomas and Associates.
Sabina is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and has been the co-chair of the Young Lawyers – Lower Mainland Section Executive. She is also a member of the Law Society of British Columbia and Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia.
Sabina obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia in 2006. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws, with honours, from the University of Sydney in 2011. As part of her law school education, Sabina studied Advanced Remedies and Obligations at Cambridge University in July, 2010.
